Abstrak

Comparative Study of Debarking Effectiveness and Efficiency of Eucalyptus SP. Logs Using Harvester and Debark Ponton Darat (DPD). This study aims to investigate the effectiveness and efficiency of debarking Eucalyptus SP. Logs with small diameters (< 0.15 m3/tree) using Harvester and Debark Ponton Darat (DPD). The research was conducted at the Logas Estate of PT. RAPP, employing the detail time study method and two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The primary data parameters included peeled wood volume, time, productivity, peeling quality, and operational costs. Secondary data were obtained from the productivity standards of Harvester and DPD, as well as the peeling quality standards of Harvester and DPD. The results showed that the machine variable significantly affected effectiveness (sig 0.02 < 0.05) and fuel efficiency (sig 0.00 < 0.05). However, the time variable did not significantly impact effectiveness (sig 0.46 > 0.05) and fuel efficiency (sig 0.54 > 0.05). The interaction between machine and time variables also did not significantly affect effectiveness and fuel efficiency.
